Dr. Taylor is a research analyst at Veda Investment Group with 15 years of accrued expertise and experience covering therapeutics, life sciences tools and diagnostics, as well as medical devices. Dr. Taylor transitioned out of academic science into financial services/equity research in 2006. Since then, he has covered life science companies both on the sell and buy sides.

Prior to joining Veda, Dr. Taylor was a research analyst at Sands Capital Management, an institutional investment manager in Arlington, VA. During this time, he served in several capacities, including his role as a life sciences analyst covering businesses for Sands’ flagship public equities strategies. These strategies focus on long-term growth, driven by innovation.

in 2019, Dr. Taylor helped launch and was a co-portfolio manager on a life-science only, public/private hybrid strategy called the Life Sciences Pulse fund (LSP). LSP participated in private financings, initial public offerings, and held small and mid-cap equity positions in the public markets.

Mr. Taylor earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Virginia. His doctoral research focused on the molecular basis of tissue formation, specifically on intracellular signaling. Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree, a BS in Biology, from the College of William and Mary.
